Outdoor Sleeping Bag Use and Maintenance
1. Avoid wind and moisture
In the wild, a windproof tent can provide a warm sleeping environment. When choosing a campsite, avoid the valley floor, where cold air accumulates, and try to avoid ridges or valleys that withstand strong winds. A good moisture mat can effectively separate the sleeping bag from the cold wet ground, inflatable effect is better, in the snow need to use two ordinary moisture MATS.
2. Keep your sleeping bag dry
The main source of water absorbed by the sleeping bag is not the outside world, but the human body, even in extremely cold conditions, the body will still expel at least a small cup of water during sleep. Thermal insulation cotton will bond and lose elasticity after being damp, and the thermal insulation ability will decrease. If the sleeping bag is used for many days continuously, it is best to dry in the sun. Washing your sleeping bag regularly will keep the insulation elastic.
3. Wear more clothes
Some lighter clothing can double as heavy pajamas. Filling the space between the person and the sleeping bag can also strengthen the warmth of the sleeping bag.
4. Warm up before bed
The human body is the heat source of the sleeping bag, such as doing a short warm-up exercise or drinking a hot drink before going to bed, will slightly raise the body temperature and help shorten the warming time of the sleeping bag.
